Anxiety can manifest in different ways for different people, but some common physical and emotional symptoms include:

Physical symptoms:

  • Racing heartbeat

  • Sweating

  • Trembling or shaking

  • Shortness of breath or feeling like you can't catch your breath

  • Tightness in the chest or chest pain

  • Nausea or stomach discomfort

  • Headaches

  • Dizziness or lightheadedness

  • Fatigue or weakness

  • Muscle tension or aches

Emotional symptoms:

  • Feelings of apprehension, unease, or dread

  • Excessive worry or fear about future events or situations

  • Difficulty concentrating or focusing

  • Irritability or restlessness

  • Trouble sleeping or staying asleep

  • Avoidance of situations that trigger anxiety

  • Panic attacks (sudden intense fear or discomfort that can include some of the physical symptoms listed above)

It's important to note that anxiety can affect people in different ways, and some may experience only a few of these symptoms while others may experience a combination of several.
